Have you ever stopped to consider that you don’t do anything without thinking about it first? You don’t eat, walk, talk, do handstands, or read a blog without having the thought of doing it before you actually did it.
So it goes with your self. The way you walk, talk, dress, move—all these reflect the way that you think about yourself. Do you notice the way a confident, successful business person walks and talks? Compare that to a street person. Is there a difference? Of course.
Which comes first—thinking, or being?
Did the successful person become that way and then start to think and act as a succesful person thinks and acts? No. They began to think like a success before they ever achieved it. They became successful because they thought they were.
Your opinion of yourself determines who and what you are, and who and what you might become. If you consider yourself capable of achievement, there is no limit to what you can achieve.
What can you do? What do you think you can achieve? That’s it, then. You are what you think you are, and you can do what you think you can do. The only limitations you have are the ones you set yourself.

That goes for everything, like saying you’re not a writer?
I’m smiling. We all do it and we all need reminding. Thanks it helped to hear it. I forget too.
Hi Steve,
I like your place. We think alike.
Just wanted to let you know I added you to my feed reader earlier today.
“That goes for everything, like saying you’re not a writer?…”
Touche!
Thanks, Rick!
I added your site to my feed, also. You have a lot of interesting stuff there!
Hey Steve! Wow! Love this post! It fits in with my whole philosophy
and business. I will have go add you to my reader.
Kirsten
Thanks, Kirsten–and what a coincidence! I just finished a comment on a post you had in July about lessons learned from rock-climbing.
You have a great site!
I love synchronicity! That’s so cool. It is great to find a new friend. Liz’s place is great for that.
