What Goes Around Comes Around, Right?
Maybe I shouldn’t even be telling people this, but I never click on ads in blogs. Never. Until today, that is.
I’ve had one of those kind of ah-ha! moments.
One of my prime reasons for doing the things I do every day is to help people. In most cases, that takes my time, my money, my emotional fortitude, if not all three. Don’t get me wrong—unless it’s just way out of the realm of my resources, I don’t even think of the ‘cost’ of helping someone. Much the opposite, in fact, as I’ve heard from my lovely wife Victoria on more than one occasion.
What if you could help people without it costing you more than a movement or two of your finger? Would that induce you to help more people?
So I know that many people who have blogs have ‘monetized’ them (I don’t particularly like that word, btw). Many, if not most, realize very little income from their monetization efforts, me included. Many, if not most, don’t depend on their blogging efforts to pay the bills, me included. So what if I could help out these other folks in a way that takes very little time and effort, but still contributes in a small way?
I thought of a way. One of those ah-ha! moments (doesn’t it seem that when you finally gain clarity on thoughts like these, your next thought is, “That’s so obvious! I should have been doing that all along.”?) when it came to me that it doesn’t cost me anything more than a click and a second or two to click on the ads on fellow bloggers’ blogs.
So that’s now my intention. As small as it may seem, maybe it will help someone. So, dear bloggers in the ‘make your life better’ world, if you have an ad, I’ll click on it. It’s the least I can do, yes? Maybe it will help someone.

Hey thanks for the link - what a great Ah-Ha moment, too! And I LOVE your “bookroll” in the right column - there are some of my favorite books in there!
