The Depths Of The Mind

Filed January 25th, 2007 in NLP

I was listening this evening to a song I hadn’t heard in ages. Halfway through a passage, my brain took a stumble, even though there was nothing wrong with the recording. What?

Then I remembered. In the 70s, I had a tape with this song on it, one that I’d recorded while working in a stereo shop. I’d tried to fit one more song on the tape, and it didn’t fit. It ended right in the middle of the song, and I never erased it. Just left it. Since it was one of my fav tapes, I listened to it over and over. I wore it out. It was my favorite tape in a time filled with great emotional turmoil

Fast forward to tonight. My brain hiccuped right in the same spot where that tape had ended, all those years ago. Anchor, anyone?

Does anyone really have a clue just how powerful the mind is, or the feelings and associations that are stored in it, just waiting to come out at the strangest moment?
